Swedish music streaming service Spotify is to launch in the United States on Thursday.

Spotify reportedly plans a formal announcement for early Thursday cheap adobe captivatemorning in the United States, where the service will be made available by invitation and subscription.

Founded in 2006, Spotify is one of the world's biggest streaming websites and is currently available only in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Britain, France, Spain and the Netherlands because of copyright issues.

It said in March it had reached one million paying users. Around seven million people use its free version.

Earlier this year, Spotify slapped restrictions on its free version,buy adobe captivate slashing the amount of times a track can be played and the total amount of music users can listen to without paying.

In May, it unveiled an application enabling users to synchronize playlists and songs purchased through its service with Apple's iPod, in what industry observers saw as a clear challenge to Apple's iTunes.

The young Swedish company had previously focused solely onmore online streaming.

Also in May, a report in Forbes based on unnamed sources said Facebook was testing a service that would allow songs from Spotify's vast library of music to be streamed to members of the social network.

US technology giant Apple said Thursday it had made its first compensation payment in South Korea over a feature on its iPhone that can track the location of users.

Apple Korea said it had paid one million won (US$950) to Kim Hyung-Suk, complying with a compensation order from a court in the southern city of Changwon.

Kim, a 36-year-old lawyer, filed the suit on April 26. He said the cheap adobe captivatesmartphone's location recording infringed on his constitutional rights to privacy and freedom and caused psychological stress.

He demanded one million won, and the court ordered Apple to pay the sum for violating his privacy. Apple Korea said it had not raised an objection to the order.

The settlement was expected to trigger an array of similar lawsuits since South Korea has about three million iPhone users.

Kim vowed to invite other iPhone users to lodge a joint suit buy adobe captivateagainst Apple.

"Amassing location data without iPhone users' consent constitutes an apparent legal violation," Kim told Yonhap news agency.

About 300 people have signed up to join Kim's campaign so far through a website that he opened Thursday, Yonhap said.

In April, 29 other iPhone users in South Korea filed a joint suit against Apple, following claims that the US company traced and stored geographical data from its mobile device users in countries including France and Germany.

British security researchers have said the position-logging feature was contained in iOS 4, the operating system for the iPhone and iPad.

They said iOS 4-equipped iPhones and iPads store latitudemore and longitude coordinates along with a time stamp, probably through cell-tower triangulation.

The company in May released updated software for iPhones to fix "bugs" that resulted in location data being unencrypted and stored for up to a year.

Netflix on Thursday began letting subscribers in the United States and Canada stream movies and television shows to Nintendo 3DS videogame handsets.

A free software application for 3DS devices lets Netflix members withcheap adobe captivate unlimited video streaming plans watch as many films or TV episodes as they desire, Netflix and Nintendo said in a joint statement.

Movies and TV episodes are displayed on the dual-screen handset's upper screen.

Netflix has long allowed streaming of shows to the Japanese videogame titan's Wii consoles as well as its competitors, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

An average of 1.5 million Netflix members daily reportedly use Wii consoles to access content.

"Nintendo is a terrific partner with Netflix," the US video streamer's buy adobe captivatechief executive Reed Hastings said in a release.

Netflix members would "soon" get access to films viewable in 3D on the Nintendo gadgets, which eliminate need for special eye glasses, the companies promised.

"The new Netflix application looks great, plays great and is a fantastic consumer experience," said Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime.

"It gives Nintendo 3DS owners access to an amazing wealth of moremovies and TV shows, which they can watch conveniently from thousands of free Wi-Fi access points across the country."

Nintendo 3DS devices access the internet wirelessly at "hotspots."

The new viewing option came in the wake of a Netflix subscription price hike that has irked users of the service.

A streaming-only plan at the US-based online video rental service costs $8 monthly.
